1. Sieve the flours into a bowl. Add the oats, sugar, nuts, cherries and chocolate. Mix well. Make a well in the centre, add the egg and butter. Using a knife, stir until all ingredients are well blended.
  2. Drop level tablespoons of mixture onto a greased baking sheet, allowing them room to spread.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F,180°C, Gas 4 for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned.
  4. Transfer to a wire tray to cool. Pipe spirals of white chocolate on top of each biscuit.
