Recipe Steps
- Preheat oven to 150°C/300°F/Gas 2. Line a Swiss Roll tin 20cms x 30cms/ 8″ x 12″.
- Put butter, oil and sugar into a saucepan over a low heat. Stir occasionally until the butter is melted and the sugar almost dissolved.
- Remove from heat and add the dry Ingredients. Mix well.
- Finally, add the egg and vanilla essence. Stir well to combine.
- Transfer to the prepared tin and spread evenly. Press down well.
- Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool in tin. When cold cut into bars.
