What you need
For the Pizza dough
- 500g Odlums Strong Flour
- 325ml Lukewarm Water
- 2 Pinches of Sugar
- 2 Pinches of Salt
- 1 7g Sachet of Yeast
Tomato sauce
- 1 tin of Roma Chopped Tomatoes in Basil
- 1tbsp of Balsamic Vinegar
- 1tbsp of Sugar
- 1tsp of Roma Tomato Puree
To Top
- Fresh Basil
- Buffalo Mozzarella

Recipe Steps
- For the pizza dough mix all the ingredients in a large bowl with a fork until nicely combined.
- Tip out onto the surface and knead with floured hands nicely for 5-10mins until soft and silky.
- Place back into the mixing bowl and cover for 30mins to an hour.
- Once proved knock back the dough by punching all the air out and divide into 4 equal sizes. You can clingfilm the extra dough if not using and freeze for again.
- For the Tomato sauce – mix the chopped tomatoes, vinegar, sugar and salt and simmer in a saucepan for 5-10mins.
- Heat an oven-proof frying pan on the hob medium heat.
- Stretch or roll out the dough until it’s around the same size as your large frying pan. Place the base on and warm the base for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Spread the tomato sauce all over the pizza base.
- Now place on the mozzarella and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200oC for 8 mins until nicely golden and crispy. Serve sliced on a board (with baby basil leaves over top to garnish) Enjoy!
