Recipe Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180C. Line a large tray with parchment paper.
- In your stand mixer beat the brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and beat in. Now take the bowl off, add the flour, cinnamon, vanilla and baking powder, and beat well with a wooden spoon. Place it onto a floured surface and bring it all together with your hands.
- Roll the pastry out to 1cm thick and then cut out your biscuits using a round cutter. In the centre of each biscuit cut out using a star cutter.
- Place onto the lined baking tray and bake for 15 minutes. Once baked and still hot, using a skewer or straw punch a hole in each biscuit so you can hang them on your Christmas tree later.
- Melt the glacier sweets in the microwave or pot until turned into liquid and then add the red food colouring and stir through.
- Spoon the melted glacier sweets into the centre of each biscuit and let them cook.
- String through some ribbon and enjoy
