Recipe Steps
- Preheat oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4. Grease and base line a 900g / 2lb loaf tin
- Put all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and beat until well blended. Transfer to the prepared tin and level the top.
- Bake in a central position in the oven for about an hour until well-risen and golden brown. A skewer inserted in the centre should come out clean.
- Remove from oven and leave in the tin for about 5 minutes, then turn onto a wire tray, remove the lining paper and cool.
- Store in an airtight tin.
